I live in southwestern New Mexico, (USA), which has been enduring a serious drought for the last several years, and this year is no exception. There are wild fires, some huge like this one, all over the state. This one is called the black Fire, after the Black Range Mountains in which it appeared. It is about 30 miles (45km) from us and, at the time of posting, was only about 20% contained.
