Description
8 x 10 on watercolor paper. Brown ink and watercolor.Since reading is an important part of a child's life, I thought that may be a good subject for the nursery. This is the only indoor setting in this series, its colors are not connected to the others, it works for this piece, but separates it from the others. The orange and blue color combos was fun to work with.

Hehe! Cute little guys. Gotta love rodents. They make great pets, too. I admire anyone who can work so well with paints, too.

LOL Yes, to cats they are simply great, realistic toys.

Thank you. Mice are really cute, but my brother's cats think of them more as... self-propelled entertainment. And on a farm, there's plenty of that.

wow, absolutly amazing watercolor skills! The simplicity, the light feeling is what all watercolor artists should go for. The different dimensions yet not at all created by thick layers of paint! Gorgous piece, and gorgous gallery in general!

Thank you! I agree, watercolor should not be heavy pigment, it should be light and transparent.

This is so nicely done and delicate; i love watercolors and the little mice! Is this for a children's book? It looks like it would come right out of one!

Thank you for the compliment! This was commissioned for a dear friend's nursery. They are putting this one next to the child's library. Both parents are avid readers.
