Back in March, when Ship to Shore Phono Co. put up that kickstarter to release the MOTHER soundtrack on vinyl, I offered to do a bunch of artwork for the liner notes, one illustration for each track. They accepted, so now there's a booklet floating around out there with my fingerprints all over it! Here's the art for Flying Man!Related content

Yeah, the lyrics to Flying Man really are visually evocative, I've always thought. The moment I started thinking up something for this one, for instance, I knew an hourglass would have to feature prominently.

The way Nintendo games were made back then, I'm betting the former. However, since it's obvious that we made alterations to it (an actual ending, for one thing) I wonder why it wasn't added then. I guess since it's so easy to skip, so I guess NoA didn't bother, IF they were aware of it. Also, I doubt you can find it in the release ROM of the original Japanese game. (shrugs) Maybe it was a part of the beta? (sigh) Oh well, at least it's in Mother 2... (rolls eyes) as easy to overlook as before.
(sigh) Either way, even if you get this reply after the fact, stay cool (or warm, as the case may be) and have a very Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays, whichever you prefer) and a Happy New Year to you and yours.

the song landed in Earthbound i think this was made after the game, still loved it, Louis Philippe vocal was incredible
