Great painting. Other than the fact that whenever I see or hear Genesis I think of those DAMN spitting image puppets.

hahah, yeah, I do remember that video...and those Spitting Image guys are incredible. Early Genesis I love...up until Steve Hackett left.

I liked all the eras of Genesis, Gabriel and Collins. The first song I heard was I Can't Dance and then I pretty much got into them backwards. They're what got me into music in the first place. Thanks to them I listen to other great bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, Rush, just to name a few.

Yeah, prog is one of my favorite genres...if you like those bands and don't listen to King Crimson, you should...as well as, oh, maybe Porcupine Tree, Mercury Rev, Go (technically a Jazz fusion supergroup), etc. But Yes is way up there for me.

Wow, lucky you...they would never show up here in Savannah. The best I can say is I saw Peter Gabriel once (as far as prog bands go) long ago as part of the Amnesty International tour...never saw Genesis, Crimson or Yes in their heyday.

That is most amazing! I particularly love how you have painted Tony on the right. He looks every bit as gorgeous in this painting as he does in real life

Yeah, love Gates...in fact, Relayer was the first Yes album I bought soooo long ago...partially because I saw the Roger Dean cover and thought it looked really neat.

relayer was the first yes album i heard, it's the first my dad showed me and i tend to make my friends listen to it. yesterday a friend and i were listening to close to the edge, which was really fun.
