I think it's an older version of Adobe,because it's not working in my CS5,or may be I did something wrong.

I'm having problem drawing the circle (5,2,1,2,5...)using marquee tool. No matter what I do I never get the exact same pixel like yours.I tried this using shift key,but it's not working either.
Please help if you can.

I used the Pencil Tool in the tutorial as you can see.. maybe that's the reason
you need to draw it pixel by pixel..

I just tried Gimp myself and so far I like it more than photoshop and it's easy to use.I think I'll be able to make some emoticons soon.I'll show you when I'm done.Thanks for replying.

I made a printscreen of the selection tool preferances as you see..
you first click on the background then expanding the selection by 1 pixel
and then inverting the selection..

For some reason when I save it saves as five different pictures. It cuts off the arms too.

hmm, I have a problem. The emoticon I made is saved as a gif file, and it loads into msn alright, but whenever I try to use it the other person can't see it. Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
