Read the rest of "I'm My Own Mascot" here: www.kevinbolk.com/comic/mascot…Folks at parties have asked me why I don't drink. This is pretty much the reason. I'm one of the few people who's actually LESS fun when they're drunk. That, and I'm easily susceptible to hangovers. XD

The last time I got drunk it was an accident (long story) and I just turned into a corner crying emo drunk. But that was around my step mum's family that I didn't know all that well.
This makes me curious what I'd be like drunk with friends or at a party or something.

I've never been drunk either, mind you I've only been to 4 actual parties and only drank drinks that had little alcohol. And my findings indicate I get buzzed (not drunk) very quickly, chatty and daze off a bit.
And I know you'll probably never read this, but I love your comics and they're pretty much the only thing I can say I actually 'fan girl' over in a sense

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. I actually get very relaxed or giddy when drunk. I've never actually been out and out drunk, but I'm very happy when very buzzed.

Here's what you do;
1. Set up some kind of playlist of Youtube videos depicting cute baby animals doing cute baby animal shit. Eating banana's, chasing laser beams/ferrets, whatever.
2. NOW you get drunk.
3. Watch the videos set forth in your playlist and NOTHING ELSE.

It's okay, I don't drink either. It tastes really bad, it makes me instantly drowsy and I get horrible headaches. There is no shame in being the designated driver for life.

The reality is there are treshholds . For different people you have different treshholds. At first you get happy and cheerfull and stuff, but after a while everybody gets weepy and sad. You just don't know how much drinking you can take in before you have to stop. A small tip: never drink on an empty stomach or when you feel weak!

I dont' drink aswell, the reason is more simple= ALmost all alcoholic drinks have an horrible flavour to me.

I drink so little that people feel obligated to push me into drinking. Apparently I'm really funny when I'm drunk.

I rarely ever drink because I just can't stand the taste of most alcoholic drinks. Even if you put in a ton of sweet flavorings into the drink, I usually still taste the alcohol.
Of course, this fact makes me even more "boring" to my friends since I also am not into clubbing. xD

Don't mind some useless hangover tips man. (Like exercising, cold shower, juice+sugar+salt etc. These are for people with little bitch hangovers). Headache pills, buckets of water, and whatever food you can keep-down help alot. Real hangovers will last all day without "treatment".
Avoid a hangover after drinking alot by drinking water before bed, and having a snack e.g cereal, noodles, sandwich(es). 1 pint of water per alcohol drink unit drank should do the job. It's tough going drinking shitloads of water but its worth it.

I've only gotten drunk once. I've decided not to drink since then, not because of how it makes me act or it's unpleasant aftereffects. No, it's because it makes me pee a lot.

The last time I got seriously intoxicated was at a convention after a dealer room head went off his rocker at the AA. It resulted in one very quickly drank long island and the acquiring of an equally drunk new sorta kinda stalker.
Lesson: I don't drink alone anymore.
