I love the hair with the strands of hair, I don't think the breast adds anything though, I think I'd prefer a crop. Some info about the texhnique would be neat - digital or darkroom?

a woman out of sand
crumbling under pressure
wind and waves
of pleasure

...

this is why I photograph, and not write poetry

But you can't say I wasn't prompted!

This is fantastic- delicate, powerful, organic - well composed, its just... well, its a fav.

So glad I found you!!!!

Beautifully done! I love the effect and the texture and the incredible painterly feel...but mostly I love the image you chose to apply that effect to. There is something sad and wistful about her expression that lends itself perfectly to the treatment you gave it. Effects so often seem indulgent because they are applied arbitrarily...but when applied thoughtfully, they can add so much depth to a piece! Kudos!

your work is simply miraculous.
sometimes it seems to breathe fire from deep within some tortured soul,...
and then there's something like this,...a beautiful subtle whisper,...like a glance
in the periphery,...and when you turn to drink it in,...it's fled,...
and what are you left with?
a thirst.

i can't begin to tell you how much i admire your work.

I 'd this not because it is pretty (it is) but because at this point in my life it means something to me. I am not sure if it is the combination of the title or the imagery but I can relate to this image deeply.

The little winds are the ones that are the most damaging. We think that we can lean into them, bear down, and in the end, our weathered hearts are ravaged and our souls disintegrated when all we want is to be loved. The womans face reflects this for me, hurt, longing and a sense of flailing desperation one has after years of sufferage. and she is so young. I think I can relate.

Thanks for sharing this image

This one was a surprise to me...I was working pretty quickly which keeps me from thinking, so when I hear thoughts like yours it gives me a lot of joy because it reafirms the knowledge that something else is at work....

She looks like a field of wheat... this picture has a solid earthy feel to it that I haven't seen before in your portraiture, or perhaps its just the title swaying me (no pun intended)

Thanks for seeing that....this one was a little different. Getting work out for an editor pushes you in directions you might not have taken otherwise....then there's the element of surprise...

thank you again....as always....

such fantastic damage of beauty, swept right in from shores where no one ever been, some Empress part Siren part sometimes just the blow'in wind kinda storms out at sea, say they seen her pass one fright like night, others hear her call to there deep'ist watery grave's, an Angels song a broken wing over scarlet sky's, howling underlight devine creature.
real fine work from hands to minds eye.

Thank you so much for that...you pick up on alot. I'm glad you caught the 'damaged' part...as well as the siren. I am always amazed when people see beyond the image itself. You've seen alot that was in me without me always being completely aware of it...

thank you again....
