Haha, opposite actually. I'm on the east coast and Hurricane Irene is going to be here soon. My state very, very rarely gets hurricanes so everyone is flipping out.

Yeah, the multiple paths Irene may take are all going to hit us. xD It really is just where the eye of the storm may be now... and there's a chance that one of the path is going to have the eye of the storm go directly through my state. So, yeah. xD I think it's very, very unusual for CA to have one, but I think they've had a couple.

That's what normally happens but it will definately be a hurricane when it hits us. Originally it was going to be a category 1 but it hasn't weakened like expected. So we're getting a category 2, most likely. The shore towns are all being put through mandatory evacuation.

Oh crap now I'm scared. lol I'm praying that it dies down a bit before hitting us. I have no idea how the houses in my neighborhood could deal with a hurricane.

Haha, i'm pretty freaked as well but my Mom keeps telling me to calm down. xD It's pretty hard to predict how a Hurricane will go exactly, the only thing we can really do is prepare. Get bottled water, flashlights, charge our phones and such. I don't think a category 2 is bad enough that people board their windows and such.
