Had WAY too much fun with this, even if there were things I could have done better with.A lot is heavily inspired by Bob Rafei's concept art for the original game. Rather than copy the final design they used for the temple in the Jungle, I sorta mish-mashed a bunch of his concepts into something I liked.
And thanks to Tanya for the tip on Daxter's pose. He looks far more relaxed now. :3

oh wow, this is incredible!! The composition and drawing itself is really nice, but the coloring is so beautiful, especially on the trees and Jak's hair! Daxter's pose is awesome too, it's just so Daxter!
I still go back and look at Rafei's stuff, I love his drawing style and his designs are still inspirational. And as much as I love the entire Jak series, the first game will always be my favorite, there really is nothing like it.

I miss your J&D stuff, its like you really put your heart into it whenever you make these. Its just truly beautiful! And these kind of artworks make me smile at the end of a tiring day.

Dude! That is awesome. One of the greatest Jak fanart pictures I've seen in a very long time, perhaps even ever!
So nostalgic... As a nerd who inspects every square inch of all the games, I have to say, this is picture is perfect! You add detail to the costume of the characters and environment, while still remaining completely faithful to the original design.
And furthermore, the fact that you did it all by hand makes it even more spectacular!

I agree with you, the nostalgia of the first game is enough to make me cry. To me, it's a summer game (I always play it during the summer, every freaking year). |D I love how you've done your own version of this, with the BG of the temple! Also, it's very interesting to see a backview of them, making me think we've just walked in on one of their many adventures. <3

I'm glad you went with the decision and didn't outline the bg, it could have stood to be a LITTLE lighter to make the characters pop out more but I think what you went for is certainly eyepoping anyways.

is "The Precursor Legacy" the first game where all the story starts ?
i discovered this series by a friend of mine who rent the 3rd, two or three years ago. And i get a interest for that game.
can you give infos for a newbie like me XD

The game's stories start there, yes. If you want to know the plot, it's pretty much Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X. Daxter fits between two parts of the opening cutscene for Jak 2 but DON'T play it until you've finished Jak 2 (as it contains some spoilers for that).
