Description
The lead character from the under-loved game Psychonauts. Idea taken from the game cover and converted into my own style.So in less than two weeks time I get to meet Richard Horvitz at the Auckland Armageddon convention, and wanted to draw something to give to him. I love this guy in virtually every role he plays (his voice is just so wonderfully bizzare). And since most people go 'Zim' when they hear about Richard, I wanted to do a character he plays but is very un-noticed alot of the time. D:
Poor Raz's skin colours got raped by the scanner. I spent ages blending in those yellows and the strange pinks that his game model has (does he suffer from a perma-cold or something? X3) but alas, my scanner hated it. His skin is alot lighter in the original.
I just hope Richard likes the original, at least.

When I first saw a picture of Raz at my local Blockbuster, I thought he was some sort of big bug. Probably because he looks similar to the characters in 'Antz'.

Psychonauts is the best game ever in the history of the universe (excluding Chrono Trigger) and why more people don't know about it/have played it is beyond me! This fan art is super-ridiculously-fantastic and it's of one of my favourite games EVER, so- you get a gold star!

Lol, I knew the voice actor all the way back from when he was doing Dagget on the Angry Beavers, OF which I have the recording of the final episode.
Regardless though, Psychonauts was a solid game and has no where NEAR the amount of fan base it deserves and I'm pleasantly surprised that you choice this character to give to him.

ahh, so awesome, i took your advice about the markers, and i found a store that sells a brand similar to copics...i think i took it overboard coz i ended up getting a pack of 60 X_X
but theres so many greys and im not sure how to use them properly ^^'
by the way, how do you get your skin colour? it looks awesome, and mine always looks too pink.
i know i might be asking much, i'm just really unsure what to do exactly, no matter how many tutorials.
and good luck to you meeting richard, i probably won't get to, my mums obsessed with stargate XP

it IS a new one. X3 But scanners don't usually capture what an original piece looks like. Even if I do get a GOOD scan, I usually find something to complain about since it's never exactly the same. X3
