Description Working on a series of paintings involving dinosaurs in modern times and how we'd interact with them.
smaller species of dinosaurs like the various small raptors would probably be subjected to the same cruelty we sometimes do to small animals

I typed in β€œbetting on dinosaur fights” hoping to find something like this, and it is exactly what I was imagining. 😁

We do dog fights also, so this doesn't surprise me.

I can see raptor fights also including some sort of artificial sickle claw placed on the real claw, to make it all the deadlier, like those prosthetic spurs in cockfights.
Someone should free those poor raptors.

It's a very good idea, both creative and challenging. That some dinosaurs probably had feathers is a up-to-the-minute touch and extremely well executed. And, yes, cock-fighting, bear-beating, the games of ancient Rome. Given the opportunity, some people might set raptors on each other for spectacle and sport. I wonder, though, if some might not be trained to hunt.

This one is another one I have to wonder about... this seems more like dog fighting than anything else.... perhaps some raptors would have been tamed or domesticated for practical use by humans?
Though the cages make it look like cock fighting.

I like the quality of the work and how believable this would be as an aspect of the alternate reality, but one would think they'd have a cage or pit just in case the raptors are hungry enough.Β  Β

yeah, good point, though i think most raptor species' are only a bit larger than chickens with the exception of bigger raptors like deinonychus,Β so i imagine they won't be too much harm to crowds of people unless in large co-ordinated packs ^^
