So this picture.
I started it a good long time ago and have been working on it WAY TOO LONG (argh that background ARGH). And I just felt the need to finish it and get it out of my system before I embark on the last few weeks/assignments of the quarter.
But yeah.
XIII-2 Art! There should be more of it. And I just really wanted to draw Noel throwing that damn moogle because that's what Mog is good for, kupo! (but mostly I wanted to draw Noel because I ended up liking him more than I thought I would XD) I figured I'd add in Serah to give a go at drawing her.
But why did I try for Sunleth Waterscape as a background? WHY?! And then all the freaking details...
I really need to work on backgrounds, 'cuz wow I can't draw forests... ORZANYWAYS. I tried to go with a "less is more" approach with any associated line-work. Not sure if like or not... Also I love Noel's arms, but wow trying to draw an arm in the middle of a throw is interesting. XD
Ah well.
Now I just wanna sketch, because I have all these Final Fantasy feels again. (replaying XIII, VIII, and VI; lol how do I play one game at a time?)
Now I'mma put close-up shots on tumblr so you can see some things better because this picture is big (I need to learn to draw smaller as well). XD

Yeah man, sometimes I’d trade out the larger screen for the option of portability. There have been so many times I wish I could take a game with me when I left the house (cuz I always whip out a portable game player and game in the back of some of my really boring/useless classes XD ). But there are some games like Skyrim that I just need the nice HD tv for :3 So, I think you made the right decision since it is really hard to find older Tales games at game stores and a lot of times they’re really expensive as well.
LOL yeah back in freshmen year when I first picked up Abyss I was like “WTF is Sephiroth in this?!” It was pretty ridiculous actually. But it does make you feel pretty dumb when you figure out the term Sephiroth actually existed before FFVII :/

OMG tales of graces! Why can’t I have a ps3 *sobsob* BUT NO SERIOUSLY GURL THANK YOU BUT I JUST LIKE RIDICULOUS RPG GAMES AND THE OCCASIONAL ACTION GAME. Otherwise I don’t play FPS or horror games or anything else exciting like you do 
BUT I’M GLAD TO SPREAD INTEREST IN TALES OF GAMES. Maybe more will be translated if there's more of an interest :/

The portability option is SO nice... I've almost considered getting downloadable versions of FFVII and FFVIII just for the convenience factor, but then I remember I still have the discs and I'm like... hrrmmm...
But it was super nice having IX and VI portable like that. And then there are all the others I have on PSP... For the older games a portable option is perfect because you don't need a big screen to appreciate the graphics, but for other things it is totally necessary. (And oh my gosh you naughty student playing games in class; although I'd totally do that too if I didn't draw XDDDD)
WAIT, WHAT? You don't have any soundtracks from ANYTHING?!?!?! IF ONLY I COULD HELP FIX THAT FOR YOU!
And I'm mostly an RPG and action/adventure person... most of the "horror" games I've played are more action than anything. Especially 3rd person shooters. FPS is something I only play with friends... although I guess Bioshock and Fallout 3 technically fall into that category because they're first person games. And then I guess that'd include Portal as well... OK I play a large range of games, but my absolute faves are those RPGs and Action games. XD
BUT SERIOUSLY we just like so many of the same things! 8')

IX is portable! I didn’t know that! Yeah, I’ve been trying to play through FF I and II but they’re both for ps1 so I keep playing other console games instead

Portal games are the only FPS I have enjoyed playing. But it’s not bad to be into a bunch of different genres. In fact, sometimes I get annoyed at myself for not liking as many kinds of game because people will want to talk to me about Resident Evil or Modern Warfare or something cuz they know I game and then I’m like “LOL I hate that shit.” One kid looked at me like I was mentally challenged when I told him about my boycott of FFVII. I usually keep quiet about my gaming habits cuz I usually just piss people off if I mention them lmao.

WELLLL IX is portable if you buy it off the Playstation Store... That's how I got that and VI. I have a few other PS1 games thanks to that (ie Silent Hill and Resident Evil 2). :3 BUT DAMN you have I and II for PS1? I forgot they released them for that. Only get them portable if you can find them cheap though. Ugh this is another one of those instances where I would TOTALLY lend the games to you if I could...
Ahahahaha, ONLY RISE AGAINST ALBUMS OH MAN. Wait, but don't you have NIN too? EITHER WAY, gaaaaahhhh ALL THE OSTs man, all of them. I swear I like, collect them or something. XD Everytime I finish a game I really like, I feel the need to hunt down the soundtrack. If I can buy it, I buy it... and if I can't, welll... XD
Sometimes I wish there were games I could get into that were popular, but I just.. guh, I can't. I don't blame you for not liking certain things. I'll admit, I never thought I'd have fun playing CoD with my friends. But I don't think that's a game I'll ever buy myself because without my friends, it would be boring and rage inducing (we usually make fun of people's gamertags all the time, or we fuck around on the maps). I will forever love Resident Evil though because that shit is crazy and hilarious. XDDDDDDDD And oh my gosh I don't blame you for dis-liking FFVII. In some ways I want to like it, but the hardcore fanboys totally ruin it for me. :/ And I feel like it's gaming blaspheme to say you don't like VII, but I dunno... I don't think it's as amazing as everyone purports it to be. I mean, I guess for its time, it was good, but I dunno... *is proly gonna get brick'd*

Naw. Most of my other music is downloaded from CD’s I borrowed from friends or was acquired elsewhere. Yeah game OST’s are just so fantastic. I really enjoy the multiple covers that are out there of them, too!
I have a lot of games that I have only played with other people that I’ll never buy for myself, so I know what you mean.
With FFVII, I actually wanted to play it really badly when I was younger. I was actually going to buy it two summers ago when I finished FFVIII. But at the time I only had like $20 on me and the game is like at least $30 online! So I was discouraged from buying it because it’s such an old game that is so expensive. I usually only buy old games when I’m low on cash because they’re CHEAP. Then I had all these FFVII fanboys just be total bigots to me about actually enjoying any FF after IX. So now I just sort of have decided to never touch FFVII because I don’t care how good it is, if playing it makes you an asshole then I’m out.

I've only played the game once through, and I might play it again in the future, but I dunno man. It's really NOT the bestest game EVAR. >.>
It's an experience for sure, but like, when people say it emotionally moved them... well, it didn't work on me. I didn't even shed a tear at Aerith's death, and like, shit like that normally has me bawling because games make me into an oversensitive ball of emotion. XD

Well, they of course didn't know I was planning on buying FVII. I simply stated the I enjoyed IX and X and found them funny and they pretty much told me how both were horrible, unfunny games that paled in comparison to how fantastic VII is.
I feel like I wouldn’t be moved by Aerith’s death either just because of how publicized it is. It’s like after viewing a major spoiler for something and then not feeling as much emotional impact about it when you actually see it in the game.

I know there have been some things I've been spoiled to and I still like, get crazy emotional about them, but I dunno... in VII, I just wasn't feeling it. >.> Come to think of it, I wasn't really attached to anyone in that game. I'm not really sure why either.

That's happened to me too before. Like with Star Ocean IV I just can't connect with any of the characters. It really sucks when that happens since that sort of thing is why I play video games in the first place :/

Ajhfdsla well goodness, thanks! The background was a challenge for sure. @_@ Not 100% satisfied (as it doesn't totally resemble the actual location) but it's the best I could do for now.

Aww, thank youu buddeh! I DON'T EVEN know how I managed to make things as they are, I just wish I was more efficient and better and drawing vegetation. XD
And oh goodness, Mog... well, yeah, he's sorta annoying. And also really scary; he hatches a murder plot for a giant flan, AND he wants to steal treasure from people at some point. Yeah, devilish little thing. XD
