"What do you think, Mog?""Ummm, I think... I like Serah more than I like Noel, kupo!"
IS THAT SO MOG?! *throws off into the abyss of Augusta Tower* >8)
So this picture.
I started it a good long time ago and have been working on it WAY TOO LONG (argh that background ARGH). And I just felt the need to finish it and get it out of my system before I embark on the last few weeks/assignments of the quarter.
But yeah.
XIII-2 Art! There should be more of it. And I just really wanted to draw Noel throwing that damn moogle because that's what Mog is good for, kupo! (but mostly I wanted to draw Noel because I ended up liking him more than I thought I would XD) I figured I'd add in Serah to give a go at drawing her.
But why did I try for Sunleth Waterscape as a background? WHY?! And then all the freaking details...
ANYWAYS. I tried to go with a "less is more" approach with any associated line-work. Not sure if like or not... Also I love Noel's arms, but wow trying to draw an arm in the middle of a throw is interesting. XD
Ah well.
Now I just wanna sketch, because I have all these Final Fantasy feels again. (replaying XIII, VIII, and VI; lol how do I play one game at a time?)
Now I'mma put close-up shots on tumblr so you can see some things better because this picture is big (I need to learn to draw smaller as well). XD

Yes it does. The only time I'm glad Mog is there is when (I don't know if it's a he or she so I'll call it an IT) Mog finds something, goes "KUPOKUPOKUPO" and glows pink. ^_^

You are so welcome, Yes! the treasure is worth it indeed. The worst part is throwing Mog when you're on that big beast that takes you to the next level - the drop is very huge there and Mog goes really far there ahaha.

And I'm liking Noel's arm too, let me tell you :3

Oh my gosh just so much Final Fantasy flooding my brain... And then there's my music player, tormenting me with FFXIII/XIII-2 music when I CAN'T PLAY IT RIGHT NOW RAGE!!!!
Drawing Noel mid-throw was lots of fun, but oh god, I realized at one point that SOMEHOW I had STUPIDLY drawn his legs in the incorrect stance (I should have spotted it sooner because I played softball and KNOW throwing mechanics) and just... UGH HIS PANTS. >8( JUST LIKE FREAKING TERRA'S (KH) POOFY PANTS.
But yeah, the arm had to be the focus, because he just has... nice arms. XD I was worried I had made him too, like, beefy looking? But I think it turned out alright just because everything in the arm looks more defined mid-throw. (yeah I was looking at baseball players for reference XD)
NOW THAT I AM DONE WRITING THAT ESSAY... I'm glad you like it!

I am pleased with your final fantasy feels everywhere. But it sucks that you can't play those games right now. I've had that happen to me before and its terrible.
HES NOT TOO BEEFY LOOKING
HES ADORABLE MUSCULAR NOEL
(and yes his pant are just like Terra's. I always thought his outfit was just a fancier blue version of Terra's )
And the legs look alright to me but I don't know anything about anything so yeah.

Aklhdsajlkkdlsf happens all the time. XD
It's ok though, I can drown my FF woes in all the other ones I own... Like VIII or VI. XD I just can't play XIII or XIII-2 at the moment.
AND GOOD, because Noel's muscular, but not SUPER muscular. (but seriously, HIS ARMS )
Also, I just really hate poofy pants. I know they have a technical term, but I don't even remember it and so they will forever be simply poofy pants. The legs are fine now, but when I had first drawn this I drew them totally wrong and had to totally re-do it. DRAWING WOES.

Truth. But it's cool, because I'm playing FFVIII and getting major nostalgia pangs... I swear it's been like, 6+ years since I last played it.

killer-rabbit-05 In reply to wowireallylikeanime [2012-05-21 21:08:05 +0000 UTC]
Ah, the memories... So hard to resist their allure...
Oooo you're playing IX again? Sweet! I wanna go back to that one someday. I mean, I only got and played it last year, but I'd give it a revisit for sure. Maybe I'll be even more fond of it; I seem to appreciate things better once I've given them a second try. :3 I also never did finish the Chocobo's Paradise quest... ANYWAYS, WHAT PART ARE YOU AT?!
And it's crazy to think it's been so long, yet I can still remember what to do. 030 What's funny is I got the game a really long time ago, like when I was about to go to middle school or even a little before that? Point is, I never actually finished the game until that 6 years ago or so, in high school. That was proly when I could actually start calling myself a gamer. XD

Not too far actually. I'm only on the Evil Forest right now I'm also doing stuff in Skyrim so yeah. As much as I adore Final Fantasy games, Skyrim is ridiculously addictive. But I'll be jumping back into IX soon (I'm also itching to play XII again too).
Wow that's actually pretty good. I don't always have the best memory when it comes to games. It's only usually if I've played them like 5 times that I start to remember stuff well
Yeah Freshman year of high school is when I got really gamer, too. I think I played IX like the summer of sophomore year.

killer-rabbit-05 In reply to wowireallylikeanime [2012-05-23 20:02:10 +0000 UTC]
If I had Skyrim, I'd proly never stop either. XD That's how it was with Fallout 3 when I played it... XD
But yay Evil Forest! I thought that place was cool. :3 Oh my goodness though, I've really been considering another XII playthrough. I almost stuck it in the other day, but then I remembered I should probably finish FFVIII, or I will probably get a bit lost. XD
And to be honest, I'm pretty surprised I remember enough about VIII after all this time. Granted, when I had played it all those years ago, I played the shit out of it; I did almost everything you could possibly do. I think I've only had maybe 2 playthroughs before now? The first time I played it I didn't finish; I realized I had totally screwed things up and just started a fresh playthrough. But then again, that was the playthrough I started in like, elementary or middle school or whatever, so I didn't know anything. XD
Playing it now, I remember the GIST of where to go; I occasionally take a bit long because I forget where items and draw points and stuff are, but for the most part I got it. Interesting thing is gonna be when I try to do sidequests... XD Getting Bahamut, Eden and Doomtrain is gonna be a lot of fun. XDDDDD
Now I'm trying to think which game I've played the most... probably Kingdom Hearts 1&2. I know those games like the back of my hand. It's kinda ridiculous.

wowireallylikeanime In reply to killer-rabbit-05 [2012-05-25 04:30:18 +0000 UTC]
Yeah Skyrim is incredibly addictive. Itβs crazy.
Evil Forest is pretty cool but itβs definitely not my favorite dungeon. I really like Kujaβs Palace and Memoria :3 And Lindblum and Treno are just really awesome cities.
Wow, you really did do well with remembering stuff in viii. For side quest stuff I always just use the internet LOL Iβm so lazy itβs terrible. But with Tales of games itβs practically a requirement because so many side quests can only be started if you do one thing at an exact moment and if you donβt then the whole quest gets messed up.
Kingdom Hearts and Persona 4 are the games Iβve played the most. Both of them have been played at least 5 times all the way through. Kingdom Heart especially. Itβs like a therapy game for me. If Iβm incredibly upset Iβll just pop it in and start a new game and just play and play until I feel better.

TRENO is my favorite city in IX. IT HAS THE BEST MUSIC. Hrrrm but favorite dungeon? Hard to say...
Nah yeah, that playthrough of VIII I used the internet. XD But I wanna see how much I can do without it. So far so good... but if I want those other summons, welllllll I'm proly gonna end up looking again. Hopefully I'll remember enough for subsequent playthroughs.
And yeah, with Tales of the Abyss, I noticed I missed out on opportunities for a TON of sidequests. I'm gonna use the interwebz for my next playthrough for sure; I just wanted to play the story for my first playthrough. :3 Actually, shame on me but I started the beginning of a new game in Abyss last night. I SAID I WAS GONNA TAKE A BREAK!!!! XD I couldn't resist though... that freaking Grand Fonic Hymn and the melody from the main theme, Karma, have been stuck in my head non-stop. I'm gonna track down the OST this weekend; some of it wasn't that great, but a lot of it I liked (battle themes yessss!). I just have all these Abyss feels right now. T^T
That was basically KH for me; I swear I've proly played it about 5 times as well, and on all difficulties. XD I think the only thing I've NEVER done in either game is beat Sephiroth... shame on me, right? BUT EVERYTHING ELSE... I'VE DONE IT.

wowireallylikeanime In reply to killer-rabbit-05 [2012-05-25 19:51:59 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it really does :3
I see what you mean. I usually try to remember as much as possible, cuz it is a lot more fun without a walkthrough. But my memory is terrible sometimes so I always end up using one LOL
I found this absolutely amazing sub event guide for Vesperia and I just checked out their site, but sadly they only have the guides for a couple of the tales of games and Abyss isnβt one of them. I wish they did, because I remember trying out another guide for Abyss and then I still missed some things because they didnβt have everything.
BUT YES GOOD I support Abyss feels
Iβve done everything but defeat Sephiroth as well. But itβs just cuz I hate him, so I refuse to waste my time fighting his ridiculously overpowered ass. Iβm still so upset cuz my expert save with everything done on it got overridden. It was such a tragic moment when it happened ;_;

Yeah, my memory isn't all that great, which is why I'm surprised I can play VIII without help. XD
I usually use the guides they have on GameFAQs... most of those are pretty thorough. I usually go for the largest sized ones. XD
I'll proly use one of those for Abyss. But oh goodness, the Abyss feels guuuurrrrrlll... THE FEELS! This is a game I wished I had played sooner. T^T Sad I had to opt for the 3DS port, but hey, it's better than nothing. So much about it, I loved.
And now that I think about it, I've recently been overwhelmed with feels for everything lately. UNUSUAL FOR ME. But there have been so many feel-worthy things in my life as of late I guess. XD
What's sad is I did all the other optional bosses in KH, but never Sephy. But yeah, he's an asshole.
WAIT, now that I think about it, I don't think I ever did all the Paradox Cups in the Coliseum in KH2! Sad days.
BUT OH GOODNESS, THAT IS A TRAGEDY IN ITSELF! Erasing saves is always heart-breaking; I remember when I had to make room on both my PS1 and PS2 memory cards... Erasing those saves, ugh...
What I find funny is we grow so attached to them when they're essentially finished files. But there's just something about looking at the file data that brings back all the memories you had with that playthrough... 8'(

I really love it when lots of feel worthy things happen in my life :3
Abyss is a wonderful game But I keep forgetting you played the 3DS version. I guess you mean like you would have enjoyed playing it with a bigger screen? Or was there stuff taken out of the 3DS version?
In KHII, I didn't do any of the extra stuff except get the best keyblade. But there wasnβt too much extra stuff to do except try to get all the chests and do a bunch of tedious mini games Yeah, I just avoid Sephiroth entirely. Also in Abyss I remember always giggling when they referred to the Sephiroth. I just imagined a massive silver haired bastard holding up the upper world XD
It wasnβt even to make room! It was totally by accident. Like I thought I was loading the game but I was actually saving and then it was gone forever ;_; All that work, destroyed!

killer-rabbit-05 In reply to wowireallylikeanime [2012-05-26 06:10:05 +0000 UTC]
Nah, they didn't change anything in the 3DS port that I'm aware of. It's all there. It just woulda been nice to play on a bigger screen. :/ And I had been looking for the game on PS2 for a while now, but figured this was a version that'd be easy to get my hands on (plus I mean, I don't have many games for my DS anyways). It still looked and sounded quite nice though. And now that I think about it, the option for portability was very much nice (I could play it at home and school). :3
Ahahahaha, I remember when I first watched the Abyss anime and they kept talking about Sephiroth, I was like, wait what? Like that asshole guy Sephiroth? XDDD That was before I actually realized it's a real word on own; I can be an uneducated doofus at times.
But asdjalkbfhdsa I found the soundtrack and now I'm listening to it with a smile on my face. XD AND OH MY GOSH I went to the game store today and I saw Tales of Graces f and I was instantly like hmmmmmmmm MAYBE SOMEDAY (because now I have a Tales of interest). XD THIS IS PARTIALLY YOUR FAULT (OH my gosh more like THANK YOU SO MUCH YOUR TASTE IN GAMES IS JUST FANTASTIC).
And oh my goodness, that sucks even WORSE. T^T I feel for ya.
