Changelog have incorrect dates? 12142013?? And somewhere at description you have symbol Â  ...

I already asked you at comments for Dorian theme, but I was wrong - I have installed this Dorian theme 3.10, already for a year, one of the best themes, thank you

So, how can I change the color of the active/inactive tab here?

killhellokitty In reply to vnON [2016-02-12 11:17:16 +0000 UTC]

basically you do it the same way as i had outlined before.  Open the 'notebook.css'.  Go to line #97 and change the background color for unselected tabs.  Go to line #170 & #171 and change the color as you wish; this will be the active tab color.   You should do this for tab.bottom, tab.left, and tab.right to make them all match.
For Gtk-2.0, open the images folder and next the tabs folder.  Inside you will find the .svg(vector images) that match the Gtk-3.0 drawings.  You will need to open them in Inkscape and change the colors to match the new colors you have chosen.  (it takes a bit of time, but isn't all that difficult).
Good Luck,
Cheers!

Thank you, I edited /usr/share/themes/dorian-theme-3.10/gtk-2.0/images/tabs/tab-top-active.svg

So what about publishing this theme to the GitHub? Good for versioning/push-requests/forking/backup

my favorite theme so far, great work. One thing though, the fast forward, play. etc. buttons are missing in clementine on trusty tahr. the desription still pops up so its usable and i do, but it irks me a little. if you dont have time to update it for clementine, i would be up for trying it out myself. maybe a nudge in the right direction to find out how would be nice. Thanks for the great theme!

Clementine is a Qt app not Gtk(in other words, built for KDE(Qt) not Gnome(Gtk)).  Have you tried installing Qtcurve and configuring it?
If you already have Qtcurve installed and you are having this problem, try disabling it and see what that does for you.

Thank you, I didn't see your reply for awhile... I installed Qtcurve and I'm checking out forums now on what to do next. Seems like it's going to be fun, since I can't seem to find out how to actually run the program yet lol. Either way, that's a really good nudge in the right direction for sure, Thanks again, love your work!

Thanks killhellokitty really nice theme.

My box uses gtk+3-3.8.2 and I noticed when I start transmission-gtk at the terminal I get these messages;

  • (transmission-gtk:9854): WARNING **: Can't load fallback CSS resource: Failed to import: The resource at '/org/gnome/adwaita/gtk-fallback.css' does not exist
  • (transmission-gtk:9854): WARNING **: Can't load fallback CSS resource: Failed to import: The resource at '/org/gnome/adwaita/gtk-fallback.css' does not exist

Maybe later you can fix this?

THANKS

Thanks for listing the error messages.
They are of no consequence, its an error that occurs for those of us who use the Adwaita-Engine in our themes.
It is harmless and only a small annoyance within terminal.
Cheers!

Love your theme!

And I have an idea for the Firefox theme, specifically the menu button when disabling the menu bar.
I created a modified version of your userChrome.css to make it match the "New Tab" button (shadowice.org/~flocke/images/m… it's still incomplete, I want to add some text or something like that later.
If you like the idea and want to include it in your theme I can send you the userChrome.css (but I'm not very good with CSS so it's probably the best if you quickly build it yourself).

I would like to see the changes you made.  I guess it took me to long to get your message as the image you posted is no more ;-(

flocke000 In reply to killhellokitty [2014-03-06 15:50:42 +0000 UTC]

The image still exists, deviantart just read the URL wrong (if you remove the bracket at the end it works).
But for convenience: shadowice.org/~flocke/images/m…
And the changes I made to userChrome.css: bpaste.net/show/185763/ (they are pretty messy with all the pixel values, maybe it would be better to create a separate image for the button).

killhellokitty In reply to Houtworm [2014-02-23 01:24:35 +0000 UTC]

I'm wearing a great big grin, Thank You!
As for Firefox Theme, it is installed within your theme folder: /usr/share/themes/dorian-theme-3.10/chrome (unless perhaps you installed from newbslab's PPA.  If so you may need to down load from here and extract the "chrome' folder from within the theme folder.)
This chrome folder however you ubtain it(containing the userChrome, userContent, and images folder).  Now copy it into your Firefox User Profile: '~/.mozilla/firefox/userprofile/chrome/'
*** Where 'userprofile' is XsomeNumbers.default folder.
I hope this helps to clerify how to install the Fifefox Theme.

BTW appologies for taking so long to get back with you.
Cheers!!!

killhellokitty In reply to killhellokitty [2014-02-23 01:28:47 +0000 UTC]

I meant copy it to ~/.mozilla/firefox/userprofile/
It is unlikely you will allready have a chrome folder within your userprofile but if you do simply back it up, and copy over it.   You can make adjustments after if you'd like.

One of the best GTK themes around!  I was using Delorean Dark theme before this, but some of the textures are inconsistent such as dark checkboards and lines that go down and to the left.  This theme looks great with apps like Chromium, Evince, and Transmission, which all display this theme correctly.  I run this theme under Debian Jessie/Testing with Openbox and I use xsettingsd to set my GTK themes.  I also like the consistency with the darks in this theme.   Great job, and keep up the good work!  I am looking forward to more GTK themes from this author!
