Chapter 9 - Slippery Shinobi

"Are those……slimes?" Siss asked, staring at the slimes raining from above.

"Th…that's a lot of them~" Envy said, licking her lips. Bonnie noticed her expression.

"Please don’t tell me you want to eat them…" She said.

"What? They're gel literally tastes delicious." Envy said.

"That is so disgusting!" Bonnie said.

"How do you know? You can't even eat food." Envy said. Bonnie stood silent for a moment.

".....Actually, fair point." She said.

“Guys, shouldn’t we head back to the house to make sure nobody is hurt?” Siss asked.

"The others!" Envy realized. "Everyone, grab onto me!" As Siss and Bonnie grabbed onto her shoulders, Envy pulled out her magic mirror and they all warped away. When the blue light faded away, they found that everyone was ok.

"We could've used that earlier, you know." Bonnie complained. "In fact, I remember I even had my own."

"I didn't know you had a magic mirror too." Envy said. She then called out for Andrew. "Andrew, where are you?"

"Envy!" Andrew cried as he ran down the stairs. "Thank goodness you're here. Slime is falling from the sky!"

"We noticed." the girls said.

"What exactly is going on?" Envy asked.

"An event known as the slime rain has started." Andrew explained. "There are slimes falling all over the place as we speak.”

“Ok. First of all, that out there does not look very natural.” Bonnie said as she pointed at a nearby window. “How does something like this even happen?” A blue slime then hit the glass with a splat and slowly slid off.

“Anyways, we decided to stay in here until the slime rain stops." Andrew said.

“You sure the slimes aren’t a big threat?” Envy asked. Suddenly, the door busted open as the slimes marched inside. In response, Envy bashed through them out the doorway with her shield of Cthulhu. Gel was splattered all over the place in the process.

“Shit!” Bonnie said. “Envy, wait for us!” As her and Siss ran outside, Andrew closed the door behind them. Just then, a slime fell on top of Siss with her head stuck inside it.

"Ahhhhhhhh! Get it off of me! Get it off of me!" Siss panicked as she flailed around, trying to get the slime of her. Envy tackled her and tore the slime into pieces with her bare hands. "Whew! Thanks!" Siss said with a sigh of relief.

“No problem.” Envy said. She then scraped off some gel that was still on her face and ate it. "Mmph!~ Tasty." she spoke. There was an awkward silence for a moment. Suddenly, Bonnie heard a noise in the distance.

“Hey, do you guys hear something?” Bonnie asked.

“Hear what?” Envy asked. She then heard the noise as well. It almost sounded like someone yelling. All three of them went to investigate and what they found was a blue man surrounded by slimes.

"Back! Get back!" The man shouted, swinging his purple hammers at the slimes. Just then, Bonnie shot all the slimes at once with her musket. She then blew the smoke off the muzzle. There was a brief silence for a moment.

"What?" Bonnie said. They then went to go talk to the man.

“Hi there.” Envy said.

"Thanks.” the man said.

“Who the hell are you?” Bonnie asked.

“My name is Haydn.” the man said.

“(He kinda looks familiar. Wasn’t he- Nah. It can’t be.)” Envy said in her head. “Well, I’m Envy, this is Bonnie, and that’s Siss.” she said out loud.

“Hi.” Siss said.

“Nice to meet you.” Haydn said. He then looked at his surroundings. “Umm.....I’m kinda lost. What is this place?”

“This is Cthuland.” Envy responded.

“Cthuland?” Haydn said. “Is there any way I can leave?”

“We’re sorry. That’s what we want to know too.” Envy said, apologetically.

“Darn!” Haydn said as he sighed. “(I hope Just-Kon and the others are ok.)”

“Hey, it’s ok,” Envy said, “Do you have a home?”

“No, I literally just woke up here.” Haydn answered.

“Oh…..Well, we do have a house not far from here. You wanna stay with us?” Envy asked.

“Absolutely.” Haydn answered.

“Uhh, Envy-” Bonnie said before a purple slime fell on top of her. Bonnie then frantically shot her musket around three times before ripping the slime off her head and stomping on it. “F**king criminy!” she yelled. More slimes then showed up, surrounding the group. Envy sighed.

“It’s gonna be a long day, isn’t it?” After spending almost the entire day killing and squishing slimes, everyone was starting to get tired. Slimes were still falling from the sky.

“GOD F**KING DAMMIT! Does this ever end!?!?” Bonnie complained.

“Yeah, Envy. I think we should just-” Haydn said before he saw Envy taking a bite out of a slime in her arms. Envy then turned around and noticed him watching her. “What are you doing?” Envy then threw the slime over to the side.

“Nothing!” she said, pretending he didn’t see that.

“Seriously, Envy?” Bonnie said. “We didn’t stay out here so you could have a snack.”

“Excuse me!” Envy said. “It’s not my fault that this is my favorite snack.”

“Well it’s not my fault that the beings of the great beyond sent slimes from above to waste our time so that you can eat them like a glutton!” Bonnie snapped. "My ankles hurt!"

"What did you just call me, you f**king scarecrow?!" Envy snapped back at her.

"You b*tch!" Bonnie yelled as she tackled her. The two then broke out into a fight.

"You guys, stop it!" Siss intervened. Just then, a loud thud shook the ground. Bonnie and Envy stopped fighting each other.

“What was that?” Haydn asked.

“What are you talking about?” Bonnie asked as she stopped punching Envy. Boom! Another thud. “Ok! Tell me y’all did not just feel that too!”

“What is it?” Envy asked. Boom! A third thud. Siss looked out in the distance and noticed the silhouette of a giant, gelatinous figure with a big crown on top of it.

“Over there!” she shouted while pointing at the figure. Envy stood up and squinted at it.

“Wait. Is that a-” Just then, the figure leaped high up in the air and then was about to land in the spot where everyone was standing. “Look out!” Envy cried. Everyone moved out of the way as the figure landed. Envy looked up, and could see the figure much more clearly now. It was the King Slime.

“What in the blue slime shit?!” Bonnie cried.

“That…..is the biggest...slime...I’ve ever seen!” Siss trembled in fear. The King Slime gave a gelatinous roar and hopped towards Bonnie and Siss. Both of them jumped out of the way. Siss smacked the royal blob with her whip, while Bonnie shot it with her musket. Envy then rammed into it with her shield of Cthulhu, while Haydn threw his purple hammers at it. When the hammers hit the King Slime, they floated back into his hands. As the King Slime took damage, it split into more smaller slimes; some with spikes on them.

"Not looking forward to eating those slimes now! Huh, Envy?" Bonnie said with an attitude.

"Shut up, Bonnie!" Envy said back. The King Slime then shrunk into the ground.

"Where did he go?" Bonnie asked. The King Slime then reappeared from underneath where she and Siss were standing, sending them up in the air. When Envy took to the skies, she then noticed something inside the royal blob.

“Is that…...a person!?” She said to herself. She then shook her head and then used her shield to pierce through the King Slime, causing a lot of damage. The King Slime became smaller and smaller as more pieces of it were knocked loose. The King Slime now turned its attention to Envy, who just landed on the ground. Before Envy could react, the King Slime rose behind her and bounced her into a ledge over a hole. As Envy fell down the hole, the last thing she heard was Siss screaming her name before she blacked out.

Chapter 9 - Slippery Shinobi
