Animation Infamy Week kicks off with a bang! This new series, Animation Infamy, deals with the absolute worst of the worst in animation: worst episodes (of both good and bad series), worst shows, worst movies, worst anime, worst everything! I NEVER liked Teen Titans GO!, but if I did, I would have been turned against it by this episode!
Characters giving up on their childhoods is one of my least favorite tropes in storytelling. I resent the thought of having to giving up on what you enjoyed as a pre-teen. I still love a lot of the cartoons I enjoyed as a kid, and I continued to enjoy "what the kids of today are watching" even after I turned 13!
This is why I consider The Puppets to be an overrated Gumball episode (I do still think this episode is clever, its puppet segment is well done and The Fun Will Never End is a great song), and being a life long Simpsons fan, I could tolerate, as a teenager, episodes like My Sister My Sitter, Miracle on Evergreen Terrace and The Parent Rap, but when Fat Man and Little Boy came along, seeing Bart give up his childhood made me feel "I really cannot rewatch this!".
I hate being told "you are too old for this" and/or "why do you want this?", whether or not something is "too childish" should be down to me!

So what there also saying (besides that nolstalgic is bad 4 u even though its GOOD for you like what with star vs the forces of evil and the ducktales reboot) is that movies games comics books and shows (both animated and live action) are all too serious and need to be more funny? (I.E what zootopia, spiderman, the last of us, harry potter the loud house, and adam ruins everything, embraced it and became great anyway) cause that's what I'm getting from this episode.

You know what's more surprising?
An episode of Avengers Assemble, Avengers Worlds, is Return of Slade done as right as possible. Sure, the fight against Thanos is a generic finale, BUT AT LEAST it shows genuine care to the fans of the show regardless of how brainless Avengers Assemble can be.

Let's be honest. I'm pretty sure the original VAs are well aware of how awful the show is and what it's teaching but At this point lately the only reason the VAs of the original Titans are still even around to voice this show and put up with this pile of shit(understatement I know) is because of contractual obligations. No way Tara Strong meant any of what's she said about only kids should watch cartoons or throw away their childhood.
I can only imagine how aware the VAs are of how fucked up the script is. Especially how Tara truly cared about Bubbles and Raven in the original shows. Same goes for the other VAs here.

I can't imagine anyone was here because they WANTED to be; I'd say this was just for a paycheck, but Tara Strong is in LITERALLY EVERYTHING!!!!! She could be out of work for six months and still not need to earn another penny. Once this show finally, inevitably, dies, I'm sure that EVERYONE is gonna be celebrating it. Though, knowing CN at this point, when the series does die they're going to act like their entire CHANNEL is dead and cancel everything.

They use "clowns" as a metaphor for cartoons, so just look over the transcript and replace the word clown with cartoon and then you'll see what I mean.

No, they're essentially saying ALL CARTOONS are inferior, and that if you actually have nostalgia for the shows you grew up with, you're an idiot and a loser. It's the most bitter, disgusting, hateful message I've ever seen from a series that sys Girls are better than boys at everything and boys are pathetic and stupid, swallowing your food whole is the ONLY way to eat, and beating the shit out of your friends and teammates to show your superiority is okay. This episode actually gets worse every time I see it, and makes all the hard work and effort of talented, professional artists, creators, writers, and animators seem like a total waste; guess what, everyone: you're trying WAY TOO HARD to be a success. Just rub shit on the screen in Flash, scream a lot, and tell your audience they're morons and you'll have Cartoon Network kissing your ass in no time--bonus points for pissing on the grave of a once-beloved series.

It's not really going to do much good because at this point it'd be best to just wait for TTG to burn out or CN to crumble underneath it. Good or bad, weak or strong, EVERYTHING must eventually come to an end and I await that glorious golden morning when Teen Titans Go is long dead, buried, and a parking lot is paved over it (feel free to keep going from there).

I gave up on this show long, long ago. Now, like the presidency, we're all stuck with it and we got to wait it out and hope there's no long-lasting damage (though, if the two reboots of 2016 are anything to go off of, it may already be too late for that).

Not even if they produce good/decent episodes? I heard "40% 40% 20%"'s a fan favourite. While the FB&CC best fan-rated episode PhantomStrider pointed out isn't even that amazing, they just change their noses and life becomes horrible after that, yadda yadda yadda.

As awesome as episodes like 40%, 40%, 20% and Cool School are they don't make up for the 120+ mediocre to wretched episodes in between. SOMETIMES you can get lucky and break even and come out with a So Bad It's Good episode like Rad Dudes With Bad Tudes but most of the time you end up with episodes like Squash and Stretch or Gorilla.

Teen Titans Go! is a disgrace to animation industry, not only it's annoying as fuck, not only has a mediocre animation, not only has some of the most hateable main characters in cartoons, but it doesn't give a shit about being a good cartoon and instead uses the most insulting stereotype in animation to justify it's stupidity, and if someone even attempts to say "we're just a kids cartoon" I have news for ya, appealing to a young audience is not excuse to suck like a dick, and putting things like leg fetishes, horses butts and gross out humor only makes you more immature than the audience you're trying to appeal to. GO TO HELL!!!!!!

I don't want to be accused of being a PhantomStrider knock-off, but I think the main reason is that there'd be a lot of really predictable choices: Breadwinners, Teen Titans Go! (no lower than the Top 3 no less), stuff like that.

This episode always reaffirms my suspicions, along with the new PPG reboot, that Cartoon Network just DOES NOT give a shit about its past. They do not care or even love their past. They will stomp on their pasts corpses, piss on them, and then burn them into ashes.... and do that twelve more times just to be safe. They'll make great new shows, but they'll completely ruin shows from their past. And from what I hear they're making a Ben 10 reboot!!!Β

And Seth MacFarlane is going to stop making offensively bad Modern Family Guy episodes. I always notice a theme. When Nickelodeon isn't being good with action shows it panders to children. When Cartoon Network isn't being thought provoking its pandering to pre-teens. When Disney Channel isn't being... funny... its pandering to teenagers. And Fox when its not showing Rick and Morty and really smart adult shows... its pandering to cliche adult show themes.Β
