That's right, I decided to take a swing at my own 7x7 Alignment Chart (technically, the 5x5 alignments already existed alongside the 3x3 Law/Chaos v. Good/Evil, and the Exalted/Vile v. Absolute/Anarchic stuff was originally created by a D&D player named Zeal over on the Giant in the Playground forums, but I still take credit for being the first one to fuse the two together). Here's what I came up with; surprisingly, the Neutral stuff (Neutrel Good, True Neutral, Neutral Evil, etc.) was the hardest to think of. Yes, before you say it, this would be a pretty badass MUGEN roster (I mean, I THINK people still play that; don't know why they wouldn't). I did have to borrow a few picks from other people but it's not cheating because I moved them to different spots, so if you're going to say "Why is X in alignment Y? They're clearly alignment Z!" I just kinda shot from the hip with a lot of these and I'll try to justify the "Evil" characters as "Selfish/Apathetic to others" and VILE as straight-up evil, villainous, and monstrous. Kay, let's kick this off (and yes, I did sorta cheat by throwing in my OWN characters but I don't see the issue); from left to right, starting with the top left corner:Absolute Exalted- "I give myself very good advice, but I seldom follow it." He was the first one to be added to the list, then Screweyes, Zander Sanchez, and the rest of my characters. The Neutral ____ stuff was the hardest, especially True Neutral.

Personally, I had Deadpool as Chaotic Moral, because in the comics he recently made big pushes to be good, and he had a daughter, and had joined the Avengers, and was even letting some enemies live and try to urge them to be good too.
And I thought David Xanotos had started being a little morally grey in Seasons 2 and 3 of Gargoyles?

I was a bit skeptical about Saitama as Absolute Neutral, when I think I could've gone with The Watcher or Mob from Mob Psycho 100, but I'm happy with how the list panned out. I wanted to go with a quote that would best summarize their character and thus validate their alignment.

I knew this is the one I'd have to justify the hardest. I should point out that Evil and Vile are two separate scales here. Evil is acting selfishly without thought or care for the well-being of others (physically, emotionally, mentally, etc.) and having no real motivation to follow a moral conduct or, conversely, intentionally going AGAINST moral conduct—which does end up describing Rick Sanchez's actions and attitudes. VILE, on the other hand, is straight-up wearing the label of evil as a badge of pride; Evil might try to deny or even justify their actions, but Vile characters would eat a kitten, kick a baby off a bridge, and give a pregnant woman cancer and proudly BRAG about it to everyone they meet.
Or, to put it simply: Evil character- "I'm not a good person, but I don't care." Vile character- "Fuck the good guys, and fuck everyone that isn't me! Evil is awesome!"
