Voice Actor Chronicles - Episode 03 - Laura BaileyNext up, one of FUNimation's main leading ladies, Laura Bailey! Her characters on this one include: Trunks (bottom right) from Dragonball Z, Tohru from Fruits Basket (middle left), Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist (top right), Sana from Kodoma no Odocha (top), Henrietta from Gunslinger Girls (far right), and Shin from Crayon Shin-chan (bottom left). Laura Bailey, as mentioned before, has been quite often cast as the main female character for quite a number of FUNimation's anime licenses, including a few not shown here. The first of which would be Keiko Yukimura from Yu Yu Hakusho. I figured I might as well leave Keiko off of this one, since Kuwabara was missing from the Chris Sabat pic...and from what I've seen, Keiko doesn't seem to be Laura's favorite character anyhow
This one was also made before NYComicCon in order to give to her as a present. I last saw her at AnimeNEXT 2006, where I won a YYH Season 1 boxset at one of her panels, for spelling fellow VA John Burgmeier's last name correctly. Laura Bailey is another VA I really like since she's voiced so many characters from series I love and done a wonderful job with them. She came to my local anime convention, but I couldn't go because my school's choral department had an event out of town that I was required to attend. Oh the joys of being a music major.

Hmm, I spy some mild inconsistancy. I saw that you had Yue under the Brina Palencia pic, and both Chachamaru and Chisame under the Caitlin Glass pic, yet I see that here you forgot our "Dark Evangel/Master Mcdowell/Kitty" who was played by Laura Bailey. Just a little fun-fact.

Ahah. Awesome. I thought about drawing some kind of random Laura Bailey tribute, except I figured no one would know and/or care. XD;
Don't forget she also pulls double-duty as an ADR director (I think that's what it was) for FUNimation. O.o
The role I probably associate most with her is Henrietta, because on the GSG commentary track, Laura mentioned that she read the manga to get a better understanding of her character (now that kind of dedication gets my approval). 
And then, it's just downright cracky and amusing to associate Henrietta with freaking Shin-chan and Sana (as is often the case with v/a's)...

She doesn't just wear the school uniform, y'know. She wears nice blouses and such. Besides, she maybe hated by others but she plays a VERY important role in the series. Plus, I like her. (as one of my friends)

Wow... Sad I've watched all those but Gunslinger girls and Fruits Basket and I never noticed her being the same voice actress behind those characters... She's talented...

I watched Dragonball Z, Fruits Basket and Fullmetal Alchemist! I was shocked when I learnt that Tohru was Lust aswell.

Ayame (Fruits Basket) is Armstrong in Fullmetal Alchemist and Vegeta in Dragonball Z
Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist is Brawly in Dragonball Z
Shigure Sohma in Fruits Basket plays Dorshet the Dog chimera in Fullmetal Alchemist. (Which I find very, very, very funny...)
Alphonse in Fullmetal Alchemist is Hiro and Young Akito in Fruits Basket.
