Hello ! 

No I think it's because SAI is really easy to use + the price is really affordable ( around 50 $ ) . That's why a lot of people prefer to use it instead of photoshop.
But I personally prefer photoshop when I have to work on big projects... SAI is very limited in terms of effects and brushes
