I don't have a lineart brush. Why is this?

You need to make one with the settings yourself~ You can rename it 'lineart'.

Brown ---> Dark Red
Grey ---> Dark Redish Brown

We called it: The The saber-tooth tat.
Cause it looks like a sabertooth tiger thing. And acts like a cat. xD

( (just a quick...thingy... rather than selecting each part OR doing the bucket-fill-thing, you can just select outside the lines then inverse selection xD LEARNED FROM TRUE LAZINESS XDDD ))

Do you have any idea of the brush settings for Photoshop, because thats what i use, and I want to try this tutorial, but I'm lost at the shading part because I can't find the brush!

Which version do you have? If Photoshop elements 7 or 8, all you would need to do is right click on the pencil tool, then choose brush. I haven't really checked any other versions. :\ Hope this helped a little.

I used to do a lot of design work so I'm all about Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. Should I stick to those if I want to get into illustration or is SAI definitely something I should be learning?

As a designer, sai probably won't be very handy to you. It's more useful to illustrators (excluding painters, sai is horrible for painting)
