______________________
I have been working on this tutorial for the last 4 weeks, I think; on and off. Phew, and I am really happy that I managed to finish it.
I wanted to have it done much earlier but I couldn't for various reasons. Now I can work on some other stuff again. ^^
You can download the tutorial if you want. I hope it's helpful and I didn't talk any gibberish.
Be careful though, the filesize is huge! ^^°
Feedback is always appreciated! ^^

That was intentional. She's not human and I wanted a look for her that is slightly "off".

This is absolutely gorgeous. I see a lot of people who go WAY overboard with their copics, and instead of making it classy and over the top, they make it tacky and crowded. The depth of your shading completes this. You have great skill.
Keep it up! You have great talent.

I am not sure if I am talented, but I love to draw. To answer your question, I've been using Copics for over 8 years and I do practice a fair amount, I guess (though that's what you have to do when you want to get better ^^°).
To be honest, it's hard to say what colours you should use for your image, but it's good practice to work with a limited range of colours. Trust me on that. You've got some nice colours there and I am sure you'll do a good job! You could have a nice reddish/pinkish colour scheme with some bluish accents.

Thanks a lot!
I'm gonna try that sometime!!
I need help right now. I'm entering oceanchan's [link]
Painters contest for a second entry,
but I don't have a clue about the
anatomy or colors I should use.
Any tips??:
Thanks ^_^

Again, it is not my place to tell you what colours you should use. I can give you general tips though, because you are the artist, not me. I am sure you have a vision of what you want to draw and how. Key is, don't be afraid to draw what's in your head, even if it doesn't come out right the first time. Trial and error it is for everyone and you always learn a lot by this too. ^^ If you aren't sure about anatomy, then you should look up images and drawings. Or even read tutorials. The internet is full of them, if a library isn't your first choice. Learn from observing things, even if it's your family or friends. Have a look at how they move, sit or do whatever they do. The same goes for inspirations; they can come from virtually anything: music, nature or a simple dirty tea spoon.
As for colours, how about you think up a theme and chose the colours accordingly? Let's say you want a "sweet shop theme", then you should use bright, soft and light colours, even bold. Muddy colours wouldn't suit it, right?
I hope that helps a bit. Good luck with the contest.
