Description
EDIT: I need to go back and redo the animation from scratch, but the project itself is on hold, so I'm just using it to test coloring/line techniques. It still needs lighting, and the background isn't finished. If you're curious about helping out in the future, check out this journal.I probably shouldn't be sharing this yet, but I can't resist. X3 I'm working on a very short scene to test materials and colors for something in the future. This is just a little in-progress tidbit, featuring Pidgin.
And just a heads up for people who've commissioned work: I haven't forgotten! The past few weeks have been pretty tight between my internship and getting used to Portland, but I'm still chugging away! I hope to have a bunch of things finished soon.
Oh, and don't pause it (if you're able). >> There are lots of drawings I'm not proud of, but I'm aiming for speed more than quality here. Oh, and it's probably faster than I mean it to be. My computer was lagging hard when I was fiddling with it in photoshop, and I didn't plan for that when I was setting the speed. It'll all work out later.

No, it's hand drawn. XD Then I scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. But DA won't let me upload it as a MOV file because it's too short, so I had to upload it as a SWF.

Where did you animate the frames then? Image ready?

I have a program called Toon Boom that's made of putting together hand-drawn animation. But... I think in this case, I imported the frames into After Effects and rendered the movie that way.

I know what you mean. I'm still learning it, and I really don't know what I'm doing at this point. x'D I prefer after effects.

Nicely done with the movement and expression. I do wonder what's being climbed (looks like the side of a dirt 'cliff'?) I like how you kept the anatomy in there as well as giving it good movement and proportions. The perspective is also nicely done--very good indeed so far. Eager to see what will be made of it.
Haha, most animations I've seen meant for speed usually have the lower-quality images hidden in there, so it'd be no surprise that this one would as well (nothing bad about that pf)

Hee hee. X3 It's actually a tree. It'll be obvious in the next shot, which is kind of facing the opposite direction.

I was thinking a tree at first, since some trees are textured like that and that would be the logical thing to climb, but just curious to see if perhaps it was something else hehe.
Ah, I see, that makes sense though :> Be nice to see when the next shot appears.

Just stunning, I'm quite jealous about your skills. I wouldn't change anything at this base-animation
