Description
Everybody seems do be doing it...so...I will jump of the bridge as well.It really shouldn't really surprise anyone that I prefer the sketches of pretty much every artist. So of course this Map is pretty sketchy.
Have any questions? Feel free to ask!
1) Mucha’s sketch for “The Pole Star”
Mucha's work is and will always be my absolute favorite. Even more so after I saw his works in Prague. His work is incredible...and eve if I adore all his detailed finish stuff...this sketch has always been my personal favorite!
(Weird choice, I know!)
2) Tim Burton
Hello? Does he really need an explanation? His movies & his art have always been and always will be incredible. This guy is a genius! A crazy genius and I would love to have dinner with him and his lovely wife.
3) DVD Collection
I can not stress enough how much I love movies. I call over 600DVDs my own by now and I'm sure the collection will steadily grow. I just love movies way to much. XD
4) Books
I will NEVER understand people who tell me they don't read. I need book to survive and create little worlds in my head. Books = Important!
5) Gustav Klimt's "Portray of a Girl"
I first saw it at a Gustav Klimt exhibit, when my Grandma decided I was old enough to appreciate art...I was 10. XD
I was so fascinated with this piece, that my Grandma got a high quality print of it for me. I still have it and its still in perfect condition. I will treasure it till I die.
See...even with 10 I liked sketches the most.
Also...this pretty much is the first time I decided I wanna draw.
6) Art by Benjamin (ZHANG Bin)
I'm not that much of a digital art fan..you know I love my pencils, BUT this guy? His drawings blow me away!
His style is so unique and...yeah...makes me do little happy sighs every time I get my hands on one of his books/drawings. His style = Pure Heaven!
(For some information/links go here: [link] )
7) Art by Michael Turner
I can't tell you how devastated I was as I read about the cancer winning against him. *unhappy sigh*
"Witchblade" was the first comic book series I really started to collect...and after that pretty much everything he was involved with. (Hell...I even got shitty comics just because he did the Cover.Art!)
I'm just in love with his style. Many copied it, but only his art always got me to buy a comic. You could ALWAYS tell when it's a original "Turner".
It's highly unfair that he had to die so young....I think we would have seen so much more awesomeness.
Sometimes life really sucks.
8) Art by Alex Ross
I need no explanation for this one. Ross is brilliant and I adore his art. His style? Perfect. End.
9) Rock Concerts/Music
Nothing can clear you head better than a Rock-Concert. Nothing.
I always liked and will always like Rock music the best. I grew up with Dad playing Pink Floyd stuff on his guitar and to this day my love for Rock didn't die. I'm no fan of computer generated Pop music shit...it has no soul and it gives me no creativity input like Rock does.
(Before you ask...the photo was taken by me at a 30Seconds to Mars concert in London around 4 years ago...)
10) Star Wars
Needs no explanations...its fucking STAR WARS! (The old ones mind you...)
11) Cinemas
I would move into a cinema if I could.
12) Coffee
80% of my drawings wouldn't exist without coffee! I would NOT exist without coffee!
13) Comic Shops
The ban of my existence!
Everything about comic shops excite me. The smell, the nerds, the geeky talk...
Comic shops are the first shops I seek out when I visit a new town.
My all time favorite is the "Purple Haze" in Plymouth/England. I found that little gem when I lived in Plymouth for a year...and it only took the guys 2 visits from me to know my name.
They called me the nerdy girl from Germany.
Yeah...so that's it. I sure could fit more in there, but...I like it as it is right now.

Number 1 is Alfons Mucha and he sadly passed away 1939...so nope.
Number 5 is Gustav Klimt and he passed away 1918.
Number 8 is Alex Ross and he is way to big to be on here. Go here: www.alexrossart.com/
All the good ones are dead as it seems.

Strange as how many (pratically ALL) of the deviants i watch that are doing this "influence map" have Mucha works between their inspirations, probably it's this common "influence" that grabs my interest in those people works afterall since i love too Mucha ^^

Because Mucha IS great. Ever since I saw his work in Prague I adore his style...I can understand why people on here love his work. XD
And seeing that we all like a certain style of work it's no wonder all of you friends have the same influence, right?
80% of the peolpe I watch and who did it, had Mucha in there as well.
(At least I picked a sketch )

I'm always like... if both music and art fail, I'll start my own coffee & tea shop totally.
You'll be my special guest. VIP card for you.
Everybody who mentioned Tim Burton uses the exact same image of him xD I wonder why?

YAY! And hurray...VIP access! Excellent!
Coffee makes the world go round. I will never understand how people can survive without the brown gold.
I only drink like 1 liter a day these days...thanks to my bad blood results...I drunk like 2/3 liters before. XD
It was so hard to get down to one liter. I was a bitch for 2 weeks straight!
I can answer that easily.
It's the first pic that comes up on google that fits into the scare.
