Thank you for the suggestion and for the feature!Homework for my character design class, my assignment was to create a character that personifies a medium. Being that it's what I use the most, I chose digital. The drawing is, however, multi-medium, since I began with a pencil drawing (which had quite a few anatomical errors). I've studied Hyung-Tae Kim's work and his process, hoping to influence my "style" a bit more. I think it's time to journey a bit away from the "moe" style, especially from the responses my last project got.
The tablet pictured here is a Cintiq, however I actually painted this on my own Graphire 4 (we do have Cintiqs at my school, but I wanted to do this while watching Breaking Bad in my room... hehe).
The painting in the Cintiq screen is one I did a while back of Samus, which can be found here .
Original image was 11" x 17", 2B pencil on Bristol.
Painted in Photoshop CS5.

That sounds like a really fun assignment. Medium "gijinka" -- fun.
And I can see the Kim Hyung-Tae in your work! You got a lot of his aspects down pretty well. I am also pretty influenced by his art.
(I hate to be a snob, but make sure you put the hyphen in the right place with his name!)

I love your Samus. And for your character is stunning. And I wish I had the fancy Wacom that has the screen on it... but I have only a Bamboo. And I can't use it all that well. OH WELL. THIS IS AMAZING.
