Description Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my work. And a double thanks to those who take the time to comment.

This is one I just forgot to post. I made it after Lighting the Way and before, well, pretty much everything but Rising Power. I thought I'd better post it before starting on the series of studio and outfit renders I'm going to be posting. Ironically, it's another falling image.

The figure is the awesome Antonia WM by the odf and the phenomenal Poser Place crew. Hence the lovely shoulders. The texture is the amazingly free Anna for Antonia by _Fenrissa_. Underneath the painting is DAZ's Songbird. I spent longer on that bird than I got the Sky background from stock.xchng and painted over it a bit in post. It's on one of the backdrop meshes from Predatron's Rocks 'n' Drops (found at DAZ3D), a set I absolutely _love_. I'm using Bagginsbill's environment sphere in combination with the backdrop for the ambient lighting.

I made all the dynamic clothes and their textures, which was fun. But the sims took so long I knew I couldn't release them. I think they worked well in this image, so I'm happy, even though it's too bad they're only useful to me. All materials by me, of course. The skin uses Pearl from my Essential Materials 01: P9+. The hair in this one is completely painted.

How about the dress rather than the pose?

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question?

I just said you should be "selling" the dress, not the pose. I'd totally buy it!

Oh!Β  I've never sold poses.Β  That particular dress was problematic because of how long it took to sim (ages and ages), so I never made it into a product.Β  It was the overskirt.Β  I'm still not sure how to handle one.Β  This one had the dress and overskirt as one piece, which meant they had to sim together.Β  That doesn't work so well.Β  The alternative is to separate them. Β  Then the hard part becomes fixing the top of the overskirt to the waist of the dress. Β  Which can run into problems where the overskirt connects with the dress.Β  I'll see how hard that is to do.Β  I have this strapless dress I'm about to post an image of, and another image I'm working on where I'd like something with a train.Β  It would be really nice to be able to make overskirt and other add-ons as accessory packs. Wonderful colors and the pose is really dynamic. You can really feel the movement and the air flashing by. Β Beautiful work.

When I read the title I thought of the video game Dragon's Dogma. The opening jpop melody and just like that this is a memorable piece.

It looks almost more like a painting than a render, which is ment as a compliment!

OMG. The clothes here are fantastic. This is a great overall image, with a lot of depth, and really touching emotional message. Before I even read the title, I immediately thought of "free falling" (I like the twist you put on that moniker) as what this image is, and what it represents. It's like plunging fast and hard toward some perceived reality that is sure to lead to hardship or even tragedy , but still enjoying some of the beautiful sites along the way.

Thanks so, so much for this comment. You really got the message I intended. It's always wonderful when I manage to actually make something coherent enough to do that.
