Hello to all! Thanks so much for taking the time to view my work. And a double thanks to all of those who comment. I greatly appreciate your feedback and support.

This uses the gold texture and material set for my Temple Wear 01. The sale for Temple Wear 01 is going to end soon (the 10th), so I thought it would be good to let people know. As I described in my previous image, it's a dynamic clothing and smart prop set for fantasy scenes. It includes the altar and hanging you see in this image. The altar is actually taller and less deep than this by default, but it comes with a morphs to change the dimensions.

This is probably one of my last images with my old "studio" prop. It's just a box with the normals pointed in and morphs to move the walls and ceiling. Morphs were better than moving parts in this case because I wanted to keep everything closed. I may still end up using it as an environment prop. It's really useful for completing indoor scenes. For instance, this uses Stonemason's Streets of the Mediterranean for the wall texture, Moyra's Gothiesque for The Study for the floor texture, and a molding prop I made for the visible part of the scene. I used some creative materials for the part of the scene that only contributes to ambient light and reflections.

My full photo studio is better in terms of providing a whole scene, but this is good for just rounding out lighting and reflections. I always meant to make it into a freebie (the prop, lights, materials, etc.), but I got distracted by all of the possibilities. I may still do it. I had some invisible pointer props that were good for directing spotlights. One for the main, one for the accent.

I did some fun postwork on this one. I just touched up the hair a little, and tweaked some of the skin and joints. Where I played around most was the colors and blending. If you want to compare, the raw render is in the promo images of Temple Wear 01.

Oh, thank you! It was good for that, if I understand your meaning correctly. Like say, closing in and lighting a partial indoor scene. If it's a 360 scene, then an environment sphere will do, but something with 2 or 3 walls can be a little more accurate with something like this. And you don't need a huge image just to show a bit of city or what have you outside of a window. I now have a default scene using my photo studio props and figures for testing materials and such, but lighting is so situational I find it best to light the scene I want to work with. Which is generally easier to set up with a simple environment.

That said, it does make me think about props to make my studio into a kind of sound stage. It's pretty large, relatively speaking. But first I have to get through the _tons_ of work I've set for myself so far.

Holy shmow, the skin on her is absolutely delicious! The lighting in your scenes seem to get better and better with every picture. Your materials and choice of textures work wonderfully here, and the postworked colors really tie everything together. Great scene!

Your studio prop is actually a good idea, like a more useful version of my "tenement." Using it would probably be good for quick, enclosed lighting tests without having to ship everything off to 3ds max for such a test.

This is a great image. Love the pose, and I'm really intrigued by the marble material here. Definitely looks like some SSS is present, in both the marble as well as her skin. Great overall technique applied here in lighting as well, and the postwork you did adds that polished look without interfering with the integrity of the original render.

Thanks so much! The marble does use SSS, as does the skin. The marble is my own material (based on the one in my Essential Materials), and the skin material is from EZSkin. SSS does tons for Firefly, though I still love Luxrender's caustics. Not that I've gone further than playing with them once or twice.
