Description
With this one I thought I'd reference part of Americana of the era of ST:TOS by honoring the 1967 Pontiac Firebird.The Romulans are using Roman names, ranks, and symbology so I figured why not use something from the 1960s that is iconic.
Besides, they could have seen the 1967 add by 2267.

I'm having a time of working them out.Β I don't like the "Bird of Prey" designs that are prior to the Romulan-Klingon technological exchange since to me the Bird of Prey is a Romulan invention.Β I will probably make Klingon "Raiders" instead.Β I'm thinking of ships shaped along the lines of the Bat'Leh for a cruiser type and the D'K Tagh for a scout ship.Β The classic D-7 will of course be the battlecruiser in my line up, but I will be doing a House K'Jara version of it (my own Klingon House I made up).Β

Β It is interesting how this one has red bussards. Also, all of your Romulan ships have those little details all over the dorsal hull, what are those?

Actually the bussards just came out that way.Β I'm using a Nikon 35mm camera emulator at 4K in Lightwave Layout and it just does funny things depending on the colors of the model, the lights, and the positioning of the lighting.Β They came out nice though.
The "details' are a wide array of sensors.Β The square ones are the ship's deflector array (very different from the Federation), the round ones that protrude from the hull are for the cloaking system, and the circular ones that are just textures on top are unknown types (they are in the blueprints, model kits, and original model).
