I just want to know what the heck Scout is being interrogated for. I mean, it's not like he's exactly a vast cornucopia of knowledge. Thanks to everyone who tossed random words at me for my pointless fan art.

Yeah how did they catch him? Soldier's rockets are super slow and the medic only has syringes and a bonesaw to attack with. Also, I think the soldier's enjoying himself a little too much there.

They would interrogate a spy but... that's not exactly smart. Also kudos to them for actually being able to catch a scout.

Hm...
1) Anyone can master any skill with enough practice and hard work, though it comes more naturally to some people than others. I've been drawing as long as I can remember, but I didn't start getting good at it until my 20s.
2) Take a small sketchbook everywhere. Draw everything; People, trees, clouds, cars, buildings, objects, etc. Your mind is like a filing cabinet, and drawing from life helps fill up your files. When it's time to draw something from your head, you'll be able to do it more easily.
3) It's rare that people master any skill with the first try. That goes for any kind of thing you draw too. Drawing a person is a lot different than drawing a horse. So don't get discouraged if that first drawing of [insert subject here] isn't what you want it to be. Keep at it.
4) Do your practice sketches with a ballpoint pen. Because you can't erase anything, it forces you to commit to every mark you put on the page. It helps to build your confidence in drawing.
5) Do what you love.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. It means a lot. I'll continue to work on my drawings! just curious, what kind of ballpoint pen is best for drawing?

koeb In reply to BondBond2011 [2012-11-30 06:42:53 +0000 UTC]
That would take longer to explain, so I'm going to recommend that you google 'costume figure drawing', 'drawing clothes', or 'drawing drapery'. This is one helpful link: [link]
A few tidbits:
-Practice drawing a lot of naked people, to get a better understanding of the form underneath clothing.
-A good exercise, that I had to do in college, is to grab a blanket and hang it over something. Then draw the blanket. It'll help teach a few basics of how cloth hangs.
-Folds in clothing can be simplified quite a bit and still be effective. Just take a look at how Disney animates its characters' clothing in its movies.

It depends on whether it is a cast or form shadow. Here's a good resource to explain: [link]
