With something like this, I have to ask "why'd he chop off her feet?" You do stuff like that a lot. It seems careless.

I see all my art as if its part of a story and within that I see things cropped a certain way. The page is the window and not everything fits perfectly within it. If you show the entire figure it makes a piece feel like its a turnaround for a character design. I crop where it feels right to me. Perfectly placed characters is not that difficult to do. Capturing the moment or focusing the eye of the viewer is what I'm after. If you are focusing on the feet I guess the rest of the piece isn't very interesting.

I was following you and nodding along right up until that last sentence, where I soured. I go along with your rational as far as it concerns paneling. But I differ with respect to pin-ups and covers.
In any event, you answered the question directly and clued me into your inner workings, for which I'm grateful.
(BTW - I would hope that it goes without saying there was no slight intended in my initial comment. But just to be sure - no slight intended.)
