More coloring practice. It's fortunate that I have built up a pile of lineart, so I didn't have to look far in order to track down something that I wanted to do some work on. As usual, I'm still working my way through most of the techniques, but I am still enjoying the results (though it takes more time than I've had of late). It's always nice to finish up a character with some actual color work - it's definitely the first time that this character (my former Dark Angel from the Black Crusade game I'm in) has gotten this level of attention from me.I'll probably keep working on colors for the time being - unless some new idea distracts me, of course (it has been known to happen, on occasion).

I am weirdly amused that pink is the color of evil here.
The palette you used here is very striking--it's springtime fresh, which isn't something I normally associate with 40K. It's very attention-grabbing.

The pink theme is based on it being the color of Slaanesh, the Chaos God the corrupted Dothan. It does make things look very different than it would if I had gone with one of the those Gods. I was mulling that over quite a bit when I got to the tail end of the coloring.
