Still getting back into drawing 40K stuff. This started out as something different (more Chaplain practice) but shifted towards something different along the way. I know it's not grimdark, but I like to think that occasionally the Space Marines really do get to show up at the last minute and save the people of the Imperium. Tonight is Rogue Trader night, so I'm hoping for some more (non-Space Marine) inspiration, since I'm still running close to empty (it has not been the best week at work, which always drains my reserves)...At least the election is over. I couldn't take much more debate.

It wasn't really his choice - he was drawn for something completely different, and then 'repurposed' into the rescue mission. 
But I do agree - put the helmet on. That's why it's there.

It has a few basic lines. I hate to admit it, but I just ran out of steam when I got to the background. If I ever put some colors to this, I'm going to try and get some significant detail splashed in there.
