This artwork is wonderful and full of life. The colors are warm in the back and dark on the character, providing eye drawing constrast to the main subject. The character's joy is clear, though doesn't seem to reach the eyes, and rubs off on the viewer, making them want to jump with joy on the sandy beach as well and rejoice in the subject's happiness. The back ground was well done and captures a warm sunny day on a calm cove fitted with lazy clouds and mossy rocks all of which were done in hues that do not clash or stand out. Though very simple, with only a character, setting, and emotion, this picture captures the imagination of the view and makes us wonder about her circumstance and who she is sharing her sunny day with.
