Applejack, darling, being chosen as the "Ponies of the Year" for Time magazine is a reward in and of itself! Just enjoy the moment.
Well, I'm just glad Photo Finish isn't taking the picture. That would be ever so awkward for both of us...
I just hope everypony likes my explanation of the thaumaturgical resonance that occurs when the Elements of Harmony are used. I spent weeks preparing for that interview!

Theoretical chrono-physics. It's a branch of research dealing with the potential application of scientific and magical principles to the fabric of space-time. We were chosen to be put on the cover of their "Ponies of the Year" edition because of my thesis on the localized time-dialation effects of the Elements of Harmony.
Er...beg pardon there, Twilight? 'Bout the only thing I understood out of all that was "Elements of Harmony".
Oh, come on Applejack! You know what Twilight's talking about! Whenever we use the Elements of Harmony, the thaumaturgical resonance flow between the artifacts, triggered by the bio-magical leyline conduits of our bodies attuning to the the arcane frequency of our respective Element, causes a localized time-dialation effect that protects us from a potential harmonic energy backlash. If it wasn't for that, we would probably be disintegrated when we activated the Elements due to the covalent bonds between our atoms losing integrity. Duuuuh!

They look so shiney! I love the slenderness of this style. *3* It ads elegance and yet keeps the chubby-chibi effect. Their poses are very appropriate <3 Esp RD's XD. The coloring is very well executed and I love the highlights you have on the hair, it especially shows on Pinkie's and makes her curls look super bouncy!

This is a really beautiful picture, but I think Rainbow Dash's cutie mark might be just a little too big? If that were a tiny bit smaller I think it would look a little better. Either way though, you did a good job!
