A little cluster of Forget-me-nots growing together. Very simple, very sweet.

I like the balance of the photograph, with less but in focus on the right and the reverse on the left. The purple flower is a touch distracting, but it gives a good point of reference in an otherwise fairly fuzzy and undefined area. The nearly in focus half-flower at the bottom right bothers me a bit, but if it's cropped out you lose most of the nice stem on the left, so on balance I decided to leave them in. I guess I could have done something about it in the field, but I've found that if I start trying to arrange things to better suit what I think should go into the photograph then it never works properly anyway: better to make do with what you find when you get there.

It's a little dark perhaps, but using exposure compensation tended to wash out most of the delicate blue colour of the flower. I increased the contrast of the picture a teeny-tiny bit, other than that it's as taken.

Hopefully people will be fooled by the title into think it's some kind of artistic statement about the fundamental loneliness of existence, rather than a pretty picture of some cute flowers.
