Yet another member of Elneri's family! Had her profile read since December, but I finished her reference sheet only now, ahah.
This time is Elneri's paternal grandma, Azarah. Since seldomly the apple falls far off the tree, Azarah, just like her son, is yet another beacon of morality.

Azarah is born in Baldaras from two conjurers of the Tribunal Temple, specialised in assembling bonewalkers and binding ghosts to ancestral tombs. She shows from an early age an outstanding talent for necromancy, but very little faith in the Temple's teaching and even less respect for the dead.

She gets in her first trouble when, as a teen, she starts messing with binding spells to harness ghosts to do her bidding and accidentally binds her family's Ancestor Guardian, Ephothal Oril, to her own soul. Undaunted, Azarah continues her unorthodox studies, financing them and her many vices by breaking into ancestral tombs in and around Baldaras to steal their precious offerings. At the age of twenty, she is finally discovered, and, accused of a multitude of crimes - unauthorised necromancy, desecration of tombs and corpses - she makes a daring escape to Skyrim. Not even the Nords tolerate her practices and the draugr in the ancient tombs seem immune to her controlling magics, so Azarah sets off for High Rock.

There, at last, she seems to have found her place: the laws against necromancy are much more permissive, abandoned tombs abound as well as gullible people who pay her handsomely to contact deceased relatives, actually impersonated by a reluctant Ephothal. For a few months, she also joins the Worm Cult, but even there her materialistic view of necromancy does not seem to be welcome.

She only gets her head straight after a delving in a Dwemeri ruin in Hammerfell, where her companions lose their lives and she finds herself alone with a fortune in relics to smuggle. She then returns to High Rock and settles in North Point, where she later marries a shy merchant, Roland Belland, who is smitten of her exuberant character. They have two children, Agathe and Gilles, and while the first inherits her father's meek attitude, the latter is a spitting - and even worse - image of his mother.

Ephothal was a sorceress who lived in the Second Age. As a result of ill-judged daedric pacts, she was condemned to an eternity in Coldharbour. She managed to escape during the Planemeld, aided the Vestige in his exploits and vowed to turn over a new leaf.

For centuries, Ephothal and later her spirit acted as a counsellor and a guardian for her family, until the fateful day Azarah literally snagged her away. Forever bound to the shrewd Dunmer, Ephothal tries her best to lead her on the rightful path, only for being constantly ignored, belittled and oftentimes directly involved in Azarah's crazy schemes.
