Description
The East Lancashire Railway's Bullied 'West Country' No. 34092 'City of Wells' powers away from Ramsbottom on 16th December 2018.
Built in 1949 by Brighton Works, as 'Wells', in 1950 renamed 'City of Wells'.
Worked in Kent until 1961. Removed from service in 1964 and sent to Woodham Brothers Scrapyard in Barry arriving in March 1965.
Bought by Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) in October 1971, before getting restored back to service use in 1979.
Removed from service in 1989 and it took another 25 years for its boiler and other building issues to be resolved until City of Wells was in steam again in 2014.
