No. 43106 affectionately known as 'the Flying Pig', rounds the curve at Foley Park on the Severn Valley Railway.
43106 is an LMS Ivatt Class 4, built at Darlington in 1951. It has a 2-6-0 wheel formation tender engine. Withdrawn from service in 1968, two days before the end of steam operations on British Railway tracks.
Last job on 2nd of August, then steams to the Severn Valley Railway and enters preservation, starting its new life on the SVR on the 4th August, two days later. And has worked there ever since.
LMS was absorbed into BR in 1948 but this 1951 built locomotive was of LMS design
