Good question! I started intently looking at all the windmills I saw to try and see the different manufacturer brands. The Aermotor Windmill Company was manufactured in Chicago, which was why they put Chicago on the product. From what I was able to find through research is that they claim to be the only U.S. windmill manufacturers since 1888.
