Batman

I took this picture a couple of days ago, with a good friend playing the part of the Dark Knight. I used a couple of base elements to establish a proper foundation for which I could digitally modify the suit where needed, hence it being filed under the photomanipulation category. This representation of Batman is an older, more seasoned hero who has become scarred through battle and established on the streets as a force of justice. I wanted him to convey a sense of disgust and an undertone of fierce rage that lies beneath the surface. I wanted the suit to maintain a look and style close to that of the 1940's, void of an elaborate set of weaponry and high tech gadgets. Just the weapons of grit, toughness, determination, and the common tools that fulfill the basic of field needs.

This is another step in a series of hero representations I am wanting to create as time goes on, with Captain America being my first and Batman being the second...all using good, close friends as the models for the characters.
