Description
I went down a new road the other day and found this amazing barn. To my humor, it was only one mile to the west of a road I have traveled several times. I captured this structure from several different angles, but something drew me to this particular composition. I feel as though this alignment creates the perception of a portrait or face of the old building. I have also been drawn lately to arranging a few of my shots to a more direct, front on approach such as this particular shot. Call it a phase I guess...

I drove around for several hours waiting for something to happen with a nearby passing storm, which never really produced much drama. It did, however, offer a good backdrop for a few pictures here and there. It's somewhat sad to see old structures like this only to be reminded of days when craftsmen hand made these buildings and integrated a unique style and personality.
