This, so far, is probably my best lightning photograph. It's been a little bit of trial and error recently as I've tried to capture the night sky and storms, complete with lightning flashes. ~jayschwartz and I went out the other night a took some pictures of the swirling storms and the lightning they produced. It seemed like a strobe light bouncing all around us and at times almost made us cower to the ground in fear of being struck.

I was fortunate enough to capture the point of origin of a lightning bolt as it broke out of the clouds and stretched out across the sky.
