This started with a dinner discussion with the people who are listed at the top of the tutorial...
Parts of this are based on real instances. God knows the notes and questions that those poor thousands-of-pageviews artists get. I pity them!
I also get really weird questions from people I don't know that are like "omg how i draw leik u??//"
No, don't ask that. Just don't.
I suppose this is also because I hate the crap that's getting posted... Stick figures rarely are art, kiddies.
This is not an attack on any one person!
It's just for fun!

This, and all the others in the series, are really funny. But not as funny as all the snarky comment wars. People really need to chill out, eh?
This is funny. It's not meant to attack people who are poor artists but trying to improve, and conscious of the fact that they need to do so. Hell, I am shitty artist and only a somewhat better poet, and I don't walk around like I own the place. I post the work I feel is a personal achievement for myself, and the work that I think could benefit from critique and advice should someone choose to give it. The message of your comics is just about being introspective/honest about our own abilities and polite/respectful to those around us.
The one thing that has really struck me as strange/hilarious/pathetic lately is people who trade points for comments and faves. Some people post that they will give each commenter and faver X number of points! And there's the people who say "If you donate points to me, I will comment, fave, or devwatch you depending on how many you give." I donated some points to a couple deviants with donation pools without realizing that those were their "terms," and then they faved some pieces of mine. And I was excited/appreciative until I figured out why they'd faved them. Then I was just uggggggh, no.
deviantART sure can be an odd place sometimes. Rather like a microcosm of a real society.
