Description Afterwork: Levels, sharpened, contrast.

Wolfpark - Battleground, Indiana.

I have to thank all those that have worked and are working at Wolfpark. Without the help of volunteers, interns and staff I would not have been able to see, interact and touch wolves during these last eight or nine years.

I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops me...

This deviation is dedicated to a friend.

Daniel, once, years ago now it seems, our first conversations were full of the passion we had for wolves, and the music created by Metallica. Tonight I needed to thank you for a hundred things, but mainly I just wanted you to remember this day. Watching you smile, hearing your laughter, and seeing your reaction to the seventeen wolves, two coyotes, three foxes and a number of bison...well, it just made a great ending to a week's worth of great days.

I already miss you, and you are not even on the plane yet. I know I said it already, still, I won't be able to look at this picture and not see you with a camera slung around your neck, taking your own.

For those of you that might be interested in some outstanding wild bird photography, you should head on over to this man's Live Journal. You can find it at:

Dan’s Space

For those of you that love wolves and the people that care for them you can visit this site:

nice shot, seems to have a pinkish hue to it or has my monitor gone just gone loopy?
Would love to visit one of these wolfparks (when funds are healthier), they do so much good work.

Hm, It's possible there is a red hue to it. I've recently started working in adobe lightroom instead of photoshop, and I can't recall which program I edited this shot in. It doesn't appear so on my monitor, but you know how that goes, you have to calibrate them really specifically.

You should hear the howls. They are a spine-tingling. I brought in the winter solstice listening to them as well. Wonderful.
