...Or green sea in this case. xD Thought I’d contribute and do a MerMay drawing–featuring Cornelia from my webcomic (who normally isn't a mermaid lol)! I might have to do a Trenton merman too, and I also had the idea to mermanify the two Betta Fish my family used to have... (they both died while I was away at college this year, but it's not like I was that attached to them--I just missed my kitty! xP)Cornelia©Capella336

Yay!!! It's great to see her in mermaid form! I wish I had the time to do something for Mermay but sadly all my time is being taken up with commissions.
Can't wait to work on yours though.
I love the subterranean lighting here and how murky the water looks, but those shades of jade really compliment Cornelia's hair and tail. I love the contrasts between the copper and the green- stunning.
An unusual angle too- as if she's just been disturbed or heard a strange sound...intriguing...

I wanted her tail colors to match with her hair, so copper it was! 
Trying new angles is a really good exercise for figure drawing (which is what I'm going to be doing in the comic as I slowly work on it
