Hester is just buzzing on endorphins right now. The lighting in the top panel was extremely fun to work on--it's a combination of that "Golden Hour" of afternoon light and what Hester's feeling right abut now as she anticipates staying there. I also threw a cameo in here of a guy from this webcomic ...

It seems Hester has never been in a place this fancy before. You did a great job capturing the magical feel of being in a place like this for the first time. The afternoon light really adds to the scene. And they are getting an elevator ride! I bet Hester is so excited she's forgotten all about Amos.

Awww she looks so delighted by all the wonder (though I feel for that poor bellboy, he suffers hauling gigantic trunks around). I love the lighting, especially the shafts across the carpet.

I'm getting really anxious here! Parents have the worst subterfuge tactics (obviously I mean 'best', while shattering their child's trust)
It probably felt like an eternal journey though. I was wondering about that lol (thankfully I think in the days before elevators he'd have a buddy to help)
I like the colours of that time of day, it's always nostalgic even if you've got on nostalgia to associate with it, if that made sense
