He does have a very pretty face and a noble appearance, actually, (I find any animal beautiful. XD). I wanted to touch his face when we finally got to see it, like, pet his nose or something.

'The Creature' is proly the offical name they have for him but during the production he was nicknamed Cooper. If you watch the end credits you'll see Bruce Greenwood as 'Cooper' - he did motion capture of the alien ( he's actually the one we can thank for all the alien's emotive expressiveness at the end XD)

I wondered if he was an explorer or a scientist or something. I mean not all of his kind can't be smart enough to make a freaking magnet machine from parts in the neighborhood, right?

Well who knows (maybe Abrams does heh). Woodward said that 'this creature is more sofisticated than any of us' so it is possible he's some kind of a scientist or an explorer (he was orbiting Earth for quite some time before they nuked him)... or it means his entire race is more sofisticated so any of them would be able to build the magnet out of microwaves and car engines ..since he was collecting information about human technology via psychic connection with those whom he abducted, methinks it might not be so hard for them to gather info and make stuff precisely like that. In any case, human standards don't apply.

Oh is that why he was abducting those people. I thought he just captured them because he was starving since he had a low regard for them. Due to being imprisoned and mistreated for decades by the government.
