I feel kinda sad for him when he speaks to the boy, it seemed it was only the kids who understood him(I know its like ET but its more dark)

Well the kids were the only ones that actually knew what he was, what he went through. I wouldn't compare it to E.T. though. It was not about 'friendship' between Joe and Cooper at the end.. it was more about 'live and let live' kind of thing.

Well hell bud, you wanna come down 'er to dusty 'ol Texas, lemme know and I'll show ya around. Bring beef jerky an ammo, people are gun-totin' savages here. 
Actually, we do have nice places in Texas, especially the downtown Dallas area. It's not very safe in terms of strolling down the street alone (Even during the day), but the amount of dining options and places to visit are large. Public spectacles are abundant too. Seattle, Washington and it's surrounding islands I reccomend going to as well, you'll fall into a city-communting rhythm within a few days.
