Things were heating up at this point between the 2 fighters. Finlay despite receiving a serious beatdown last round, caught his second wind and led this round with a hard hitting pounding to Scott's body. Delivering blow after blow in reckless abandon. The poor black scotsman couldnt counter his opponent's swings and his face was met to the mat again.

Scott pulled himself together and went for a punch to Finlay's abdomen followed by a harsh uppercut to his jaw. Finlay retaliated with a hard right to Scott's eye, in turn the white scotsman soon met with a face full of leather tumbling him back a bit till he laid at the ropes. Scott took no quarter and began harshly pummeling him all around while Finlay gave about the same rush. The two were in a heated exchange of fists as they periodically switched places within the ropes, hoping to overpower the other.

Signs of swelling began to show between their eyes despite being early in the fight. Scott backed off a bit after suffering a terrible blow to his jaw that caused his teeth to chatter. Finlay layed a combination of hooks, uppercuts and straights to his adversary, slowly making to the center of the ring. Scott waited for the right opportunity to strike but Finlay turned his patience back at him as he fainted a blow that caused Scott's left swing to miss. A devastating gut punch was unleashed on Scott followed by a hard smash to his face that caused him to be knocked down yet again.

He still had energy left as he got himself up in a relatively short amount of time. The last few minutes of the round was nothing but another hard hitting slugfest. The sounds of their punches connecting were so loud and harsh that the two missed the ring of the bell thrice and it wasnt till moment later they realized their round was over.
