DESCRIPTION:

The Perun Vulcan variant differed from the baseline Perun MBT with its primary armament. The standard 130mm Battle Cannon was replaced with a 37mm M650 Vulcan Rotary Cannon - an enlarged variant of the M648 Vulcan Rotary Cannon installed on some Terran Marauder units. The high fire rate of this cannon combined with its heavy armour making the Perun Vulcan ideally suited for anti-infantry role in support of tanks and other AFVs in urban combat. However, the main cannon can only fire continuously for 5 seconds due to its limited ammunition capacity, requiring modifications to the standard turret to store additional ammunitions in the stowage bins. To compensate for the lack of anti-armor capability, the tank can also be equipped with a remote-controlled, pintle-mounted portable ATGM launcher with 10 missiles stored in the turret compartment.
