F-81 Trident

The F-81 Trident (Federal designation UCF 98), also known as Cosmo Trident, is the result of the lessons of war in the First Batarian-Terran Conflict. After the inconclusive war between the two powers, the Federation recognized the need to totally modernize their navy. By the time the Second Batarian War broke out, the Trident had replaced the Thunderbolt as the mainstay fighter of the Federation Fleet. It was widely used as a deep space fighter launched from carriers.The Trident fusion turbines delivers high performance in atmospheric conditions but requires discipline and experienced skill of the pilot.
